Engineer Call Out Explained

MFTS can provide ad-hoc engineering call outs for customers who do not yet have an active maintenance support agreement in place.

You book a two-hour call out during which time we will investigate the fault. This will include checking power supplies and circuit boards, searching for programming issues and line faults. If the fault is a hardware failure, we will be able to diagnose the fault and confirm what is required to resolve it.

Some phone systems are end-of-life (manufacturer discontinued) and, therefore, will have parts that are no longer produced. In this case, we may not be able to fix the issue. However, do not worry. MFTS will be able to advise you about the options available for a replacement system, one that suits your company’s working environment and budget constraints.

Business downtime can mean losing clients. Therefore, we will endeavour to fix all faults as soon as possible. Significantly, if you have a telephone system fault or emergency but do not have a maintenance contract, we can still help.

During any site visit, MFTS will also review your current setup and offer further advice and recommendations. For end-of-life systems, there may be a suitable support contract we can offer. This would either be under a Service Level Agreement or Best Endeavours contract.
