When this happens, you risk losing customers and missing out on vital sales and business opportunities. Sounds dramatic? Maybe, but it’s true. It doesn’t look very professional on your part if someone tries to call you and they can’t get through. Most people are time-poor. The likelihood is, they’ll just go and call someone else.
If you have a telephone system fault or emergency but do not have a maintenance contract, you can still call us on 01892 577 577 and an engineer will take the time to help with an initial diagnosis.
If required, we will send one of our qualified engineers to check your telephone system in order to identify and resolve the fault. This will include checking power supplies, programming issues, circuit boards and line faults.
Don’t leave it too long before you acknowledge the problem. Find an alternative way to communicate with your customers, for example, social media, and let them know what’s going on. Apologise for the inconvenience and say you are aware of the situation and doing everything you can to try and fix the problem.
To safeguard your system, and your business, for the future, you may wish to set up a maintenance support package.
MF Telecom Services offers:
• Emergency call outs, problem diagnosis and fault repair
• Qualified engineers attending on-site or off-site resolution where applicable
• Fault testing and liaising with suppliers on your behalf to resolve issues
• Initial problem diagnosis to try and avoid unnecessary BT call outs
• Fixing or replacing handsets
• 365 days support (where available)
Please also refer to our fault-finding information guide for simple tests and resolutions to some common problems that you can carry out yourself.
What causes a telephone system to fail?
Your telephone system may simply be affected by power outages or a power surge. However, damaged cables can also cause problems and of course, a PBX system will begin to fail with age.
MF Telecom Services can also help with replacement telephones, software updates, system upgrades, new extension cords/trunk cords and parts for new or legacy telephone systems.
